Greetings fellow astrophiles!
It will be COLD, but it is predicted to be clear, making tonight the night for this first observing session in 2015. We’ll be meeting in the parking lot right behind the main building (with the main building facilities open for the session) near the ticket gate. Map below.
Neptune and Mars will be just-visible at the start of the session, while Jupiter will rise near the end of the session, leaving us with the Winter Constellations and Comet Lovejoy to fill the remaining 90-or-so minutes.
Dress Code – Layers, layers, and more layers. You don’t appreciate how cold it is at night until you’re standing still for an extended period of time.
We hope you can join us!
